International Public Procurement Agreements

Israel is a party to the World Trade Organization’s Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA). Israel has also signed several trade agreements relating to public procurement with Canada, South Korea, Colombia, United Arab Emirates, The European Union, The United States, The United Kingdom and The European Free Trade Association (EFTA).

Are You a Supplier from a GPA Member State or a Partner Country?

If you are a supplier from a country that is a party to the GPA or has a trade agreement with Israel, you might be entitled to other treatment:

  • A procuring entity should give you treatment no less favorable than it accords to domestic goods, services and suppliers.
  • A procuring entity should not discriminate against a local supplier on the basis that its goods or services are yours.
  • Preference for Israeli products might not apply.
  • The extent of mandatory local industrial cooperation may vary.
